Product Description

Calcium Oxide, commonly known as quicklime, appears as a blocky or granular substance with a density of approximately 3.35 g/cm3. It is slightly soluble in water and exhibits strong alkalinity. When exposed to air, it gradually absorbs moisture from the air, transforming into calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate. Placing it in water results in an exothermic reaction that forms a slurry of hydrated lime. Calcium oxide is also soluble in acids and is frequently used as a dehydrating desiccant, acid-neutralizing agent, and for improving acidic soils.

Process Overview

Selected limestone is subjected to calcination at 1100°C to achieve a light-burnt state, resulting in the formation of calcium oxide (CaO).
The material is then sieved and classified to produce finished products, ensuring complete calcination to prevent any unburned cores.
